Our Finances

Our finances consist of money raised and money spent. The money coming in is from membership dues, donations and fundraising activity. The money going out covers costs for insurance, website and software fees, background checks,  printing and other items.

The Treasurer of St. James NEST watches over this, with oversight by the St. James NEST Board. They have the knowledge, practical experience and objectivity to guide the finances of the organization.

IRS Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, is required annually to monitor the activities of St. James NEST and confirms the nature of the activities conducted. Any member of St. James NEST may request a review of the organization’s financial condition upon request to the Treasurer. These returns are public information for 501(c)(3) charities, and they are available from the Treasurer at treasurer@sjnest.org.
